About Me

I graduated with a BA in Human Ecology from College of the Atlantic in 1995, where I completed my senior thesis on Animal Assisted Therapy.  For the next few years, I volunteered with my therapy dog, Crystal, at schools, hospitals, and nursing homes.

After a fairly long time period of various jobs in other fields (including as a SCUBA instructor, retail manager, EMT / call firefighter, triathlon coach, ballet teacher, and swim instructor) I returned to graduate school to pursue my interest in mental health.

In 2011, I graduated with a MS in Mental Health Counseling from UMass Boston with a focus on individual and group counseling for children and adolescents.  From 2010-2015 I worked as a clinician at a community-based clinic in Whitinsville, working with individuals ages 3 through adult, couples, and families. I opened my private practice in 2015 in order to pursue my passion of working with the youngest kids with the BIGGEST feelings and behaviors.

I have also completed a 2 year post graduate fellowship in Infant-Parent Mental Health and have received MassAIMH Endorsement for Culturally Sensitive, Relationship-Focused Practice Promoting Infant Mental Health® as an Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist (ECMH-E®).

In my work, I strive to combine my professional knowledge and experiences with my own personal life experience as both a parent and a neurodivergent individual – bringing a compassionate and inclusive lens to others’ experiences.
